In early 2010, he published two books: Leadership and Management, part of the Harper Collins Business Secrets series. In late 2011, he co-wrote ‘Grow Your Business’, to accompany the Dragons’ Den TV series. This year sees the addition of two new titles to his list of publications: ‘The Fit Mentor’ and ‘40 Interview Icebergs and How to Sail Around Them’; both are published by CGW Publishing.

Penny Barkas – Leadership and Management Mentor and Coach

As a manager with many years’ experience at a senior level, Penny has worked her way up via operations management and Head of Customer Contact Centres, before finally forging a successful and influential career at director level.

Operating in several demanding business environments means that she brings an authentic, results-driven and informed insight and perspective to her work and, as a result, is in great demand as a Leadership Coach.

As Penny explains, “Whatever my role in my career, at its core was the commitment to nurturing talent, encouraging growth and supporting people and managers through difficult, challenging and often complex situations, whether personally or operationally.”

As a self-confessed introvert, she provides invaluable insight to the issues faced by introverts operating at a senior level in an extrovert business world. 

Leadership and Management Facilitator, Mentor and Coach – Debbie Hunter

Debbie is a highly experienced and successful learning and organisational development professional with an outstanding track record in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. She works at individual, team and organisational level in the areas of leadership development, management development, change and employee engagement.

Prior to moving into consultancy, she headed up various Learning and Organisational Development functions, including Mars Confectionary and Oxfam.

In 2020, Debbie completed the first Team Coaching Certification programme with the Global Team Coaching Institute; she is also qualified to administer psychometric tools such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strength Deployment Inventory (SFI) and FIRO-B. These psychological assessment tools are an important foundation for her individual and team coaching work.

Sales and Marketing Facilitator, Mentor and Coach – Nina Lovatt

A graduate of Oxford Brookes Hotel School, Nina began working life in hotels and – prior to becoming self-employed in 2005 – held senior sales and marketing positions in both the UK and overseas.  Since then, she has successfully created, delivered and facilitated sales, team and leadership programmes for hotel, venue and agency partners, creating high impact, collaborative and motivational learning and coaching interventions.

As an accredited Insights Discovery® and Insights Deeper Discovery® Practitioner, Nina is committed to motivating and inspiring others to tap into their full potential and take ownership for their own professional development and success.  Nina’s current focus and passion is supporting women in leadership positions and helping sales/commercial teams maximise market, revenue and personal potential

In 2021 she co-created and launched The Round Peg Best Self Journal – a personal development programme and journal, which is full of tried and tested practical exercises, tools and examples to help people navigate their own personal development journey.

Leadership and Management Facilitator and Coach – Liz Mercer

Liz is an accomplished facilitator and executive coach, with a wealth of industry experience. As a consultant, Liz partners with her clients in the design and delivery of leadership and management development programmes, executive coaching, workshop design and facilitation, and team development.  Prior to this, Liz spent 25 years in Human Resources and Learning and Development, in a variety of Business Partnering roles for GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca. 

Liz gained her Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching from the AoEC (Academy of Executive Coaching) and holds Associate Certified Coach status with the ICF (International Coaching Federation). She is accredited to administer and interpret the MBTI Step 1 & 2, FIRO-B, Belbin, Hogan, Strengthscope and Key Polarity Indicator™ profiling tools.  

In recent times, Liz’s executive coaching has taken place in a variety of contexts including: senior and executive leadership development and transformation; supporting leaders to achieve personal and professional development goals; facilitating the transition to leadership and supporting those who are experiencing increased responsibility or significant career progression.

Leadership and Management Facilitator, Mentor and Coach – Sarah Smith

Sarah is a highly experienced learning and development professional who has worked in a variety of sectors including retail, finance, media, higher education, public and voluntary sector.

Her significant experience in leadership, management development and organisational change includes the research and design of leadership competency models for several organisations, as well as delivering strategic leadership and management development programmes in support of major organisational change.

Prior to moving into consultancy Sarah was Deputy Head of Professional Development at Cranfield University for four years, where she held responsibility for management and leadership development.

Sarah is a specialist in areas such as leadership development, NLP, Spiral Dynamics and Emotional Intelligence. She is a Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP, an accredited practitioner of Gravesian/Spiral Dynamics (National Values Centre, USA) and Myers Briggs Type Indicator (OPP).
